Your data

How we handle your documents

Your documents contain your most personal details. Here is exactly what happens to them, from the moment you upload until they are deleted.

  1. You upload your document

It travels to us over an encrypted connection and is stored encrypted. Only you can see it in your account.

  2. We prepare the translation

Our translation system prepares the translation in the same layout as the original.

  3. You check your details

You check that names, dates and numbers match your document, and tell us if anything needs changing.

  4. Our professional translator checks and approves it

One of our translators checks the whole translation against the original and approves it. Their name, and their professional credentials where they have them (for example a sworn translator's appointment in Germany), are printed on your certificate.

  5. You download your PDF

Your translation comes with a certificate of translation, ready for your application.

  6. Deleted automatically

Your documents and translations are deleted 90 days after delivery, or straight away when you delete them from your orders page.
