Get paid per job to review and correct translations for visa applicants. Verified translators only.

Who can apply, by country

Each country has its own rules for official translations. We check your credentials against the official list or directory before you can take jobs for that country.

Everyone also uploads a photo of their passport or national ID card. We check it against your name and delete the photo once it is checked.

The Diava test (UK and USA)

For translators into English without a membership number. One test for each language pair, made fresh every time. 60 minutes.

  • Part 1: a short piece of writing in English (at least 70/100)
  • Part 2: find the 10 mistakes in a translated document (at least 8, with no more than 3 wrong marks)
  • Part 3: translate about 100 words (at least 80/100; close results are checked by a person)
  • Didn't pass? You see why, and you can try again after 30 days.

Pay and quality

  • Every job shows its pay before you accept it.
  • Paid monthly for every approved job, by bank transfer or through Stripe.
  • Your first 5 jobs are checked by us before they reach the customer.
  • Each job is rated from 1 to 5. If your average drops below 3.5 after 3 jobs, your account is paused while we talk to you.

Job translator terms

  1. You work as an independent contractor, not as an employee. You are responsible for your own tax.
  2. Keep every document strictly confidential. Use it only for the job, never paste it into public AI tools or share it, and delete your copies when you hand in.
  3. Your work must be your own, complete and accurate. Hand it in by the deadline, or give the job back so someone else can take it.
  4. If we or a visa office find a mistake in your work within 90 days, you correct it free of charge.
  5. We pay the amount shown on each approved job, monthly. We may pause or close your account for poor quality, missed deadlines or any breach of confidentiality.
  6. We use your name, contact details, credentials and ID check to verify you, give you jobs and pay you, under UK GDPR. See our privacy policy.
